QA Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & People Management:

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing QA team across multiple projects and product lines. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and develop personalized career plans for QA engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.

Oversee QA resource planning and drive recruitment based on project needs.

Test Strategy & Execution:

Define and implement test strategies, plans, and test case designs for both manual and automation testing.

Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, UAT, Performance, and Security

Align test execution with business objectives and agile development timelines.

Ensure availability of test data and proper environment setup for each release cycle.

Automation Engineering:

Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile platforms. Drive automation coverage for critical workflows and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Select and evaluate appropriate tools and technologies for automation (UI, API, performance testing). Track and report key quality metrics: test coverage, defect density, test execution progress, etc.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

Continuously analyze existing QA processes and implement best practices (Agile and Scrum) Perform root cause analysis on critical issues and implement preventive measures.

Introduce risk-based testing, shift-left approaches and exploratory testing

Ensure traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects using suitable tools.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Experience working with cross-functional teams including Dev, Product, and Business. Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple releases or projects under pressure. Comfortable working in fast-paced startup or enterprise agile environments.

Bonus (Preferred but not mandatory):

ISTQB/Certified Agile Tester or equivalent certification.

Experience working in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, etc.).

Exposure to AI/ML testing, LLM-based tools, or test case generation with GenAI.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Postgraduate degree (optional but preferred)
