A Brief Overview
The Pre-Sales Engineer is an integral part of the Sales team with a focus on delivering standard pre-sales demonstrations and technical leadership to enhance the prospecting experience in the sales process. With an emphasis on selling and demoing our technology platforms, this individual is responsible for answering technical inquiries from prospects regarding technology, features, solutions, and applications. The ability to articulate TriNet technology and product positioning is key. Working closely with sales consultants to drive revenue, this individual has demonstrated experience handling small to mid-sized deals. Delivering training webinars and internal process documentation is also part of the role including the ability to effectively document and communicate technical customer needs to ensure a positive customer experience.
What you will do
- Complete technology demonstrations and deliver high level communications.
- Communicate effectively across departments.
- Create internal pre-sales engineer processes and documentation.
- Interpret prospect requirements.
- Provide coaching and professional development to Sales Consultants and Leadership to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills.
- Coordinate and collaborate to understand customer requirements, promote product recommendations for prospects, and provide sales support.
- Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms.
- Strategize and plan prospect presentations.
- Provide prospects insights on how TriNet can improve their operational effectiveness.
- Practice time and territory management.
- Handle data in the SalesForce CRM system.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Experience Qualifications
- Typically 2+ years PEO Sales, Sales Support or Sales Engineer
- Typically 2+ years Experience with SalesForce or other CRMs
- Typically 2+ years Experience in consultative selling and/or delivery of demos
- Typically 2+ years Experience with selling technology platforms/applications
