Role Overview:
The Manager, Operations will be responsible for operational reporting, regulatory compliance deliverables, internal controls, and reconciliation functions across multiple payment products and geographies. This is an individual contributor role suited for someone with strong leadership potential who can drive innovation while delivering operational excellence. The role offers future growth into team leadership as the function scales.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliations
  • Perform and oversee 4-way and multi-way reconciliations across transaction data, settlement accounts, partner balances, and payment networks.
  • Manage end-to-end reconciliation for card payments, including issuer settlements, scheme fees, and interchange.
  • Handle reconciliations for remittances, collections, virtual accounts, and other payment methods.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating issues as required.
  • Maintain reconciliation schedules and ensure month-end close activities are completed accurately.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to MAS and other authorities within stipulated timelines.
  • Coordinate with Compliance to ensure reporting obligations are met across all licensed activities.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for regulatory submissions.
  • Support regulatory inspections and audits with required data and documentation.
Internal Controls & Processes
  • Draft, review, and update operational policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Drive policy implementation across teams, ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Own execution and ongoing monitoring of internal controls framework.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process automation and innovation initiatives.
Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to monitor key operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requirements for business reviews and strategic initiatives.
  • Create automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • 7–8 years of experience in operations within the fintech or payments industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 4-way and multi-way reconciliation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of card payment operations and reconciliation (issuer/acquirer settlements, scheme reporting, interchange).
  • Experience with remittances, collections, virtual accounts, and diverse payment methods.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, BI platforms) preferred.
  • Global or multi-market operations experience, with understanding of cross-border payment flows.
  • Innovator at core with ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Leadership mindset with potential to build and lead a team as the function grows.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines across time zones.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with global payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard).
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prior experience in a licensed financial institution or MPI.
  • Exposure to AML/CFT reporting and compliance operations.
  • Experience with automation tools or scripting for reconciliation workflows.
