Job Title: Trainee Analyst – Project Finance / Market Research (Debt Advisory)
About the Role:
We are hiring Trainee Analysts to join our Project Finance & Advisory team with a core focus on debt funding, market research, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for graduates looking to build a career in financial consulting and project finance, particularly on the debt side (not equity).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial models for project evaluation, funding proposals, and business plans
Conduct market and sectoral research to support project structuring
Work extensively on MS Excel to handle data, projections, and analysis
Format and structure documents in MS Word and PowerPoint for client and lender submissions
Required Excel skill (Must Have)
Core Skill
Basic formulas: SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX, COUNT, IF, AND, OR
Cell referencing: Absolute ($A$1) vs relative (A1) references
Formatting: Proper use of number formats, date formats, and consistent styling
Data validation: Dropdowns, range checks to keep inputs clean
Shortcuts: Fast navigation (Ctrl + →, Ctrl + Shift + ↓, etc.), paste special, etc.
