Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end BI solutions including system design, Power BI report development, Power Apps CRUD applications, and Power Automate process automation for financial reporting, HR analytics, and production tracking in manufacturing.
- Handle data operations as the single accountable person: multi-source ETL, advanced DAX modeling, custom API connectors, and industry-grade dashboards with responsive UI/UX.
- Integrate with ERP systems like Business Central, develop Power BI reports, Power Apps, and mentor junior team members on Power Platform tools.
- Implement QR code scanning, inventory tracking, multi-tenant data security (RLS, compliance), and automated workflows (event-triggered, scheduled, approvals).
- Coordinate stakeholders, raise data standards, introduce Power Platform potential, and support BI/ERP team leadership and recruitment.
Must-Have Skills
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Industries:
- Production tracking, inventory management (raw material bundles via QR), shop-floor operations.
- ERP integration for manufacturing processes (e.g., Business Central financials, production modules).
- Data Analytics:
- Advanced statistical analysis (MAD/outliers, robust stats, forecasting, anomaly detection).
- Financial/HR metrics (P&L, AR/AP aging, headcount, onboarding retention, training completion).
- DataVerse
- Table design, relationships, business rules, plugins, multi-tenant environment management (~1GB/tenant).
- Production licensing, data security compliance, integrations with Power Apps/Automate.
Technical Skills (Required)
- API Integrations
- Custom API connectors with HTTP actions, Postman testing, OAuth 2.0, third-party data sources.
- Real-time syncing, error handling, multi-source connectivity for Power Apps/Automate.
- Advanced Power BI
- DAX (advanced calculations, time intelligence, iterators, calculated tables).
- Power Query/M (optimized ETL, custom functions, merging, fuzzy matching, large database analysis).
- RLS, drill-through, performance tuning, industry-grade UI/UX, report distribution.
- Power Apps
- Canvas apps (Power Fx formulas: If, Filter, LookUp, Patch; galleries, responsive UI/UX for all devices).
- Model-driven apps, PCF controls, CRUD operations, QR/barcode scanning for shop-floor/mobile.
- Power Automate:
- Cloud/desktop flows (expressions: workflow(), utcNow(); conditionals, approvals).
- Task/communication automation (event/scheduled triggers), integrations with Dataverse/SQL/SharePoint.
- SQL Server
- Complex queries (CTEs, window functions, pivots), indexing, stored procedures.
- Optimization for multi-tenant (~1GB/tenant), data governance frameworks.
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Advanced Analytics
- Predictive models, data quality checks in Power BI.
- Forecasting with ARIMA or similar methods.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Functional Knowledge):
- ERP modules for financials (P&L, AR/AP), inventory/production processes.
- Mapping business needs to Power Platform without deep AL development.
- Other:
- AI Builder (computer vision/QR), Git, Paginated Reports, PL-300/PL-400 certs.
- IoT, facial recognition integrations, Azure Logic Apps.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years in BI/Power Platform with system design/leadership in manufacturing; Bachelor's in Engineering/CS/Data Analytics.
