Role Description

Human Resources Coordinator


Key Responsibilities

  • Post job and volunteer openings on LinkedIn and other platforms, screen applications, coordinate interviews, and engage with candidates to build a committed team.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new employees and volunteers, including orientation sessions to align them with HRDS INDIA’s mission, values, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in HR management systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and NGO regulations.
  • Assist in managing employee and volunteer welfare programs, including coordinating with local partners for benefits like health camps or training stipends.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies in line with Indian labor laws, NGO guidelines, and organizational values, ensuring fair and transparent practices.
  • Organize team-building activities, training workshops, and recognition programs to enhance morale and commitment to our social mission.
  • Prepare HR reports, track metrics (e.g., volunteer retention, recruitment progress), and provide insights to support organizational goals.
  • Handle HR-related inquiries, manage schedules, and coordinate logistics for HR events, training, or community outreach programs.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in HR coordination, preferably in a non-profit or NGO setting.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in HR software or basic database management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Hindi (additional regional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Understanding of NGO operations and Indian labor laws.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using LinkedIn for recruitment or volunteer engagement in the non-governmental sector.
  • Familiarity with managing volunteer programs or community-based initiatives.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP) or NGO management is a plus.
