Position Overview We are hiring a strategic, disciplined, and sharp Quality Management Systems Head who will take full ownership of making SAN Automotive “audit-ready every single day” . The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, Maruti Suzuki VSA, and sustainability systems , and will be responsible for establishing processes that align with global Tier 1 expectations , while creating a culture of quality, compliance, and factory discipline . This is not just a compliance role — it’s a leadership role aimed at transforming SAN’s factory floors, documentation systems, and inter-departmental accountability to world-class standards . Key Responsibilities 1. QMS Design, Deployment & Enforcement Implement, manage, and strictly enforce IATF 16949 , ISO 9001 , and customer-specific requirements (CSR) across all departments Prepare and lead internal audits, customer audits (VSA, Honda QAV, JCB), and certification audits (ISO, TUV, VDA) Drive discipline and ownership of systems across production, quality, maintenance, NPD, and purchase teams 2. Strategic Audit Readiness Maintain full-time audit readiness — all documentation, processes, visual boards, records, and traceability systems must be updated daily Create mock audit plans, layered process audits (LPA), audit calendars, and track NCR closure rigorously Train department heads and operators on audit behavior, audit documentation , and non-conformance prevention 3. Sustainability and Global Standards Compliance Integrate sustainability metrics into the QMS, including energy use, waste reduction, and carbon mapping Align documentation and reporting for ESG-focused clients and sustainability audits Lead SAN Automotive’s readiness for global Tier 1 supplier qualification 4. Factory Floor Organization & Systems Discipline Audit and reorganize shopfloor zones (press shop, fabrication, welding, tool room) to align with QMS flow, traceability, and lean movement Implement strategic checkpoints, signage, labeling systems, tool boards, visual SOPs Monitor and guide real-time implementation of traceability and process control at every workstation 5. 5S Leadership & Clean Factory Culture Take personal charge of 5S implementation with measurable KPIs per line, per cell Create weekly 5S checklists , scoring systems, and interdepartmental accountability Lead “ Clean Factory Drives ” with zero-tolerance for clutter, disorganization, and non-standardized storage Come up with smart layout reorganization strategies to make QMS adherence automatic for workers 6. Leadership, Mentorship & Change Management Lead a cross-functional QMS core team and coach department heads on system implementation Be a visible quality leader across the shop floor — not just a desk-based coordinator Drive mindset change toward “system-first” thinking across all employees Candidate Profile Attribute Requirement Experience 12–18+ years in Quality Systems in automotive or metal fabrication industry Standards Expertise Strong in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, Maruti VSA, TUV, Honda QAV Audit Handling Experience managing external, customer, and third-party audits Sustainability Deep understanding of sustainability frameworks , ESG tracking, and factory compliance Factory Understanding Sharp eye for shopfloor discipline, layout correction, and line standardization Documentation Expert in control plans, PFMEA, SOPs, QMS manuals, audit trails 5S & Lean Tools Practical implementer of 5S, visual control, poka-yoke, LPA, kaizen systems Software Familiar with Excel trackers, PowerPoint training decks, audit reports, traceability formats Communication Excellent written and verbal skills; must be a strong communicator and enforcer Personality Strict, structured, detail-oriented, and deeply respected by shopfloor and top management alike
