Job Description

The job responsibilities of an HR Manager with knowledge of onboarding and offboarding, statutory compliance, recruitment and selection, and general HR activities encompass a wide range of tasks that ensure the effective management of human resources in an organization. Here's an overview:

1. Recruitment and Selection

  • Job Analysis and Planning: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Sourcing Candidates: Manage the recruitment process, including advertising job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
  • Selection Process: Conduct background checks, reference checks, and finalize the hiring process, ensuring candidates are a good fit for both the role and company culture.
  • Offer and Negotiation: Extend job offers, negotiate compensation packages, and ensure timely hiring.

2. Onboarding and Orientation

  • Onboarding Process: Manage the entire onboarding process to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the company, including preparation of induction materials, orientation sessions, and assigning mentors.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed (e.g., contracts, tax forms, and ID verification).
  • System Setup: Coordinate IT, payroll, and office setup for new hires to ensure a seamless transition into their roles.

3. Offboarding

  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees and analyze trends to improve retention.
  • Separation Documentation: Handle the exit formalities, including processing resignation letters, preparing final settlements, and ensuring the return of company property.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Coordinate with the departing employee to transfer knowledge and ensure a smooth transition.

4. Employee Relations

  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in conflicts or grievances between employees and management, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
  • Employee Engagement: Plan and implement employee engagement activities to boost morale and ensure a positive workplace culture.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance appraisals, feedback sessions, and work on employee development plans to ensure professional growth.

5. HR Administration

  • Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate processing of employee salaries, bonuses, and benefits in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Attendance and Leave Management: Oversee time and attendance systems, manage leave requests, and ensure compliance with company leave policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate employee records, including personal details, performance, payroll, and benefits.

7. Training and Development

  • Identify Training Needs: Assess the skill gaps within the organization and create plans to address these gaps through training programs.
  • Coordinate Training Programs: Organize workshops, seminars, and other training initiatives to improve employee skills and performance.
  • Monitor Effectiveness: Evaluate the success of training programs and their impact on employee performance and organizational growth.

8. Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Benchmarking: Research and evaluate compensation packages to ensure competitiveness in the market.

10. General HR Activities
