Job Description

Karamtara is seeking a professional for the position of Head of Commercial (DGM/GM) with 20+ years of experience.


Requirements:

  • Leading the development and execution of a company's commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and managing key business relationships. This individual oversees sales, marketing, and business development activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. They also play a critical role in identifying new market opportunities and building strong relationships with stakeholders.


  • Developing and Implementing Commercial Strategies:

    This includes creating and executing plans to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, and drive profitability.


  • Managing Sales and Marketing Teams:

    Leading, motivating, and guiding teams to achieve sales goals and implement effective marketing campaigns.


  • Identifying and Pursuing New Business Opportunities:

    Conducting market research, analysing trends, and identifying potential areas for growth and expansion.


  • Building and Maintaining Key Relationships:

    Fostering strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.


  • Overseeing Business Development:

    Managing the process of identifying and securing new business opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances.


  • Monitoring Performance and Reporting:

    Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing commercial performance, and reporting to senior management on progress and strategic recommendations.


  • Budget Management:

    Assisting in the development and management of budgets for commercial activities.


  • Ensuring Compliance:

    Ensuring all commercial activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.


Major points: Well-versed with Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Billing to Collection, LCBG, Export Documentation, Coordinating with all customers for timely collection, A/c collection and reconciliation, MIS Review and Commercial Budgeting for a large manufacturing organisation.


Skills and Experience: (Should be CA and proficient in working in SAP HANA) followed by:


  • Strong Leadership and Management Skills:

    Experience leading and motivating teams, setting goals, and driving performance.


  • Strategic Thinking and Planning:

    Ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies.


  • Sales and Marketing Expertise:

    A deep understanding of sales processes, marketing principles, and customer acquisition strategies.


  • Business Development Experience:

    Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.


  • Relationship Management:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.


  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

    Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to complex business challenges.


  • Market Knowledge:

    A thorough understanding of the relevant industry and competitive landscape.
