Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Preparation of structural drawings from Design Line Diagram for transmission line towers using Auto CAD, Bo-Cad or similar software.
Preparation / Checking of Shop Drawings (Manufacturing Drawings) of transmission line tower structures and release to proto or mass production.
Good knowledge and understanding of tower detailing for various transmission line tower types such as Vertical Tower, Horizontal Towers, Guy Towers and its extensions.
Should have the capable of development of drawings for towers in various types, Single Leg / Star Legs / Double Star Legs /
Skilled in drafting and calculations of all critical parts of towers such as cross arms, ground wire peak and oblique views etc.
Skilled in preparation and checking of shop drawings and release to production.
Interpret and implement of technical specifications into the structural drawings / shop drawing and BOM as per client requirements.
Coordination with other departments like design engineers, PPC and manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with IS/IEC/ASTM standards and relevant codes.
Maintain drawing records and revision history.

Preferred candidate profile:

Drafts man with good experience / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field.
25 years of experience in detailing of transmission line towers or structural steel.
Proficiency in Auto CAD, Bo-Cad, or similar detailing software.
Strong understanding of steel structures, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
