Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)

1. Production Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement comprehensive production plans for green coffee processing aligned with sales forecasts and customer requirements.

Lead and manage day-to-day operations across hulling, colour sorting, blending, and packaging lines.

Ensure output meets required standards in volume, quality, and timeliness.

Drive adherence to SOPs and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) across all production units.

2. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, productivity, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and downtime.

Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and material resources.

3. Quality & Food Safety Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to food safety norms (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, etc.) and internal quality standards across all operations.

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that the final product meets all customer and regulatory specifications.

Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Lead, supervise, and motivate production and floor management teams to meet operational goals.

Conduct regular training sessions to enhance technical skills, safety awareness, and productivity.

Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the production team.

5. Inventory & Resource Management

Monitor raw material, consumables, and packaging material inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.

Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams for timely sourcing of raw materials like green coffee, and packaging supplies.

Control production costs and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.

6. ERP & Data-Driven Operations

Manage and maintain production records using ERP systems (e.g., ERPNext, SAP).

Ensure real-time data tracking and reporting of production metrics, batch records, and equipment status.

Prepare and present production reports and dashboards to management for performance review.

7. Health, Safety & Sustainability Management

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in line with industry and legal standards.

Oversee the implementation and enforcement of PPE, fire safety, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Conduct periodic audits, risk assessments, and drills to maintain a safe and secure workplace.

8. Maintenance & Equipment Readiness

Collaborate with the Maintenance team to develop preventive maintenance schedules and reduce machine breakdowns.

Ensure availability and reliability of key production equipment (e.g., roasters, grinders, packers).

Drive quick resolution of equipment malfunctions and reduce unplanned downtime.

9. Cross-Functional Coordination

Liaise with Quality Control, Supply Chain, R&D, and Sales teams to align production output with market demands.

Support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives through pilot runs and process trials.

Contribute to the company’s sustainability and export-readiness efforts.
