Backed by top investors and led by IIT/IIM/BITS alumni, Darwix AI is scaling rapidly and is seeking a Finance Manager to lead and structure our financial backbone, partner with external advisors, and ensure institutional-grade governance as we scale toward Series A and beyond. 🎯 Role Overview As Finance Manager , you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end financial operations of the company—from accounting integrity and taxation to cash flow forecasting, MIS reporting, and investor readiness. You will act as the financial custodian of the company, ensuring compliance, audit hygiene, and strategic alignment with founders and stakeholders. This is a high-ownership, hands-on, leadership-track role that sits at the intersection of business operations, growth planning, and financial discipline. 🔧 Key Responsibilities1. Financial Reporting & Control Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L , balance sheet , and cash flow statements Ensure accounting records are accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready Oversee journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and finalization of books with CA partners Track cost centers, team-wise budgets, and cash flow positioning for different business lines Monitor accounts receivable and payable cycles, ensuring clean aging and timely collection 2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Supervise accurate and timely GST, TDS, PT, and ROC filings with consultants Handle documentation for Form 16, GSTR returns, advance tax , and tax assessments Respond to government notices and ensure full regulatory compliance Ensure labor law adherence (if applicable) including PF/ESI documentation, payroll tax filings 3. Strategic Finance & Planning Collaborate with founders on annual operating plan (AOP) and rolling forecasts Prepare financial models to evaluate cost control, pricing changes , and unit economics Track burn rate, runway , and cash forecasting with high accuracy Develop dashboards for department-wise budget tracking and variance analysis 4. Audit, Internal Controls & Policy Framework Manage internal and external audits , and ensure compliance with Indian GAAP Define and enforce financial SOPs for purchases, reimbursements, and approvals Maintain an up-to-date virtual data room with mapped, version-controlled documents Conduct financial hygiene reviews on ledgers, bills, invoices, and employee payouts 5. Fundraising & Investor Data Management Work with founders on investor pitch support, due diligence, and data validation Maintain equity cap table, board resolutions, share allotments, and funding documentation Coordinate with legal counsel and CAs for SAFE, CCD, and ESOP documentation Prepare quarterly investor reporting packs , MIS summaries, and financial snapshots 6. Vendor & Client Finance Operations Oversee client invoicing (domestic & international), GST compliance, and collection logs Approve vendor onboarding, contract reviews, and timely vendor payouts Manage software, rent, SaaS tools, and capital expenditure planning Maintain subscription tracking, renewal logs, and recurring payment reconciliation ✅ Required Skills & Experience 2–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, or startup finance Deep hands-on experience with Tally, Excel/Google Sheets , and basic financial modeling Strong understanding of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, ROC, etc.) Proven track record of working with auditors, CAs, legal teams , and internal stakeholders Excellent documentation habits with high accuracy and process discipline Experience in building internal controls , managing MIS, and leading financial SOPs Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to explain financials to non-finance teams ⚙️ Bonus Skills (Preferred, not mandatory) Experience working in VC-funded startups or preparing for Series A/B Understanding of SaaS metrics (MRR, CAC, LTV, NRR, cohort analysis) Familiarity with international taxation , export billing, and forex management Exposure to investor due diligence , SAFE/CCD documentation, and ESOP allocation Prior experience in managing cross-functional budget alignment and approvals 📈 Success in This Role Means: Monthly books closed by the 5th of the next month, with zero errors All filings (GST, TDS, ROC) done before due dates with supporting documents uploaded Cash flow forecast maintained with weekly updates and deviation analysis All investor queries answered within 48 hours with ready access to MIS No major audit remarks or financial hygiene lapses in the last 12 months 🧬 You’ll Excel If You Thrive in founder-led, fast-paced environments where ownership matters more than hierarchy Are structured, trustworthy, and always two steps ahead in managing financial control Love solving real-world operational finance problems while staying investor-ready Value compliance and documentation as much as analysis and insights Are outcome-oriented and can balance multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision 📬 How to Apply Send your CV to careers@darwix.ai Subject: Application – Finance Manager – [Your Name] (Optional): Attach a note describing how you’ve helped streamline finance operations, close audits faster, or manage investor due diligence at your previous company.
