Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Procurement
Your Main Responsibilities
Objectives of the function
- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure functioning in synchronization with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
- Ensuring optimal supplier performance and price
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships, and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base
Responsibilities
- Market analysis for identification and onboarding of new electrical suppliers
- Make strategic localization or make/buy decisions for key components to optimize cost efficiency.
- Collaboration with global category managers for implementation of global strategies/projects and achieve substantial cost reductions through a global-local procurement approach
- Employing cost estimation methodologies such as zero-based costing and activity-based costing to support accurate forecasting, budget and optimizing component prices
- Demonstrating proficient understanding of import and export Incoterms to streamline international transactions.
- Supporting business growth by coordinating supplier capacity scaling, aligned with evolving demand.
- Collaborate with modernization design center and Field operations team to understand technical specifications and ensure procurement aligns with technical requirement for price negotiations.
- Resolving supplier payment issues in co-ordination with finance team.
- Part pricing in system and preparation of PAR data, as per requirement.
- Taking Quotation and preparing impact analysis for CP changes for local and global suppliers.

What You Bring
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/electronics. MBA will be added advantage
Professional Skills
- Strong in data analytics, data presentation & reporting
- Should be competent in drawing reading & process assessment
- Zero base costing of Electrical & Electronics components
- Proficient in English
Professional Experience
- 5 - 7 years of overall strategic sourcing experience, having exposure of electrical & Electronics categories & commodities within manufacturing set up
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams
- Good Understanding of spend management
- Develop existing supplier base
- Strong Foundation in Sourcing activities
Standard Awareness
- Occupational Health, Safety, environment, Quality & Energy Management policy awareness
- ISO 14001,45001, 9001 & ISO 50001 EnMS standard awareness
