Position : Sr. Executive –Purchase (Electrical procurement).

Reporting to : Manager – Purchase

Job Description :

Responsibilities /Duties (Functional)

1. Procurement planning and SCM with domestic and International Vendors and Contractors.

2. Manage complete Procure to pay process of Electrical Spares, such as Cables, Cable Trays, MMC panel, PLC, Motors, VFDS, JBS, Transformers, UPS Battery bank and other consumables etc. Capital, Project items, which includes enquiry floating to the approved / evaluated supplier, follow up and call for techno commercial offers on time, commercial comparative and further strong commercial negotiation in line with the Estimate/ Budget approval.

3. Should have thorough knowledge of vendors / OEMS for the above equipment’s and items both in India as well as international suppliers.

4. Floating of enquiry to vendors as per Master Vendor list and obtaining Techno-commercial offers.

5. Process and put forward for approval as per procurement policy and further release of PO.

6. Coordination with vendor for timely post order documentation and further on time dispatch of material as per agreed schedule.

7. Preparation and monitoring of Inquiry status report.

8. Follow process of Vendor registration including vendor evaluation, vendor assessment and further vendor development.

9. New substitute material development in place of OEM product or for monopoly items.

10. Manage Coordination with all cross functional team – Projects, Engineering, Logistics etc to meet departmental objective of procurement of right quality of material within project timeline and with right price.

11. Develop and maintain strategic relationship with key vendors including OEM’s and contractors.

12. Plan, organize, implement and review procurement process in line with the project / organization requirement.

13. Vendor Payment control and monitor.

14. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

Skill Characteristics :

1. Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation spares, accessories, Capital /Project items procurement in at least two major EPC for Water Treatment / Chemical/Petrochemical/Power organization.

2. Established technical knowledge in Electrical / Instrumentation procurement area and commercial skill (Terms and conditions)

3. Good negotiation skill.

4. Willing to handle a wide variety of challenging assignments.

5. Communication skill both written and verbal and ability to find solution in critical situation.

6. Ability to manage and work within tough deadlines and manage cross functional team dynamics.

7. Ability to work in teams and collaborate across functions and within the Engineers team.

8. Capability in managing vendor relationship.

9. Hands-on experience of work in ERP system or SAP system and online auction process.

10. Fair knowledge of QMS procedure, Material standard, International Quality requirement.

Other Requirements:

 Past Experience in Similar Field required – 6 to 8 Years.
