As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Market Insights and Business Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and drive business growth.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Market Insights and Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen analytical mind, with strong skills in gathering and interpreting data related to market trends, customer behavior, and business performance. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance customer engagement, and boost sales and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to support product development, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Gather data from internal and external sources, develop reports, and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the company’s growth.
• Customer Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of customer data to understand purchasing patterns, customer satisfaction, and areas for improvement, helping to shape customer-focused strategies.
• Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales data by region, product line, and customer segments to provide insights into revenue drivers and potential growth areas.
• Forecasting & Financial Analysis: Collaborate with finance and sales teams to forecast sales performance, analyze budget variances, and assess financial impact of market trends.
• Collaborative Strategy Development: Work closely with the business development and marketing teams to support strategic initiatives, including expansion plans with export clients like Hispanox (Spain) and Apex (UK).
• Competitor Intelligence: Develop and maintain a competitor intelligence system to track changes in market share, pricing, and customer acquisition strategies across key competitors.
• Operational Insights: Analyze production data, efficiency metrics, and supply chain performance to identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.

Technical Skills:

• Programming: Python, R, SQL, AWS, etc.
• Data Analytics: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros), Power BI, Tableau, Weka (Data Mining), DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), etc.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Oracle.
• Machine Learning: Advanced Analytics, Statistical Modeling, Supervised & Unsupervised Learning, Regression, Classification, Time Series Analysis, Clustering, Dimensionality Reduction (PCA), etc.
• Tools: Visual Studio Code, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), Informatica, Apache Spark, Hadoop, etc.
• Data Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, ggplot2, Power Query, etc.
• Sales Analysis Using Python: Ability to analyze and interpret sales data effectively to inform strategic decision-making.

Additional Skills:

• Programming & Statistics: Python (Programming Language), Advanced Excel, SPSS Statistics, R (Programming Language), Time Series Analysis, PCA, Linear Regression, Covariance, Correlation Matrix, Moving Average, Regression Analysis, De-seasonalization.
• Data Science & Analytics: Machine Learning, Visualization, Feature Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Cleaning, Identifying Trends, Statistical Concepts, Advanced Excel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a data analysis, market research, or business intelligence role, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with CRM software and ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning models.
• Understanding of the fastener industry or B2B manufacturing landscape.
• Experience working with international clients and knowledge of global market trends.
