Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll & Compliance Management:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing — attendance, leaves, reimbursements, incentives, arrears, TADA and F&F settlements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Bonus, etc.).
- Coordinate with Finance and Auditors for payroll reconciliation and compliance audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in payroll data and employee records.
- Lead HRMS automation and ensure smooth payroll integrations
2. HR Operations & Process Excellence:
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle — onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Maintain updated employee master data, MIS reports, and HR dashboards.
- Draft, review, and manage employment documents and HR policies.
- Conduct regular HR audits and ensure adherence to internal and legal compliance standards.
- Continuously improve HR systems, processes, and documentation for operational efficiency.
3. Strategic HR Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with leadership on annual HR strategy and workforce planning.
- Prepare and manage HR budgets for payroll, recruitment, and employee engagement.
- Drive manpower forecasting and cost analysis to optimize headcount and expenses.
- Present HR analytics, reports, and cost forecasts to management for informed decision-making.
- Implement data-driven HR strategies to align with business expansion goals.
4. Performance Management, KRAs & Appraisals:
- Lead the Performance Management System (PMS), ensuring clear goal-setting and KRA alignment for all roles.
- Drive mid-year and annual appraisal processes, ensuring timely completion and transparency.
- Support line managers in creating measurable KPIs and tracking employee performance.
- Identify high-potential talent and support leadership in succession planning and career development.
- Conduct one-on-one feedback sessions and guide employees toward performance improvement.
5. Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building events.
- Conduct surveys and analyze feedback to enhance workplace culture and satisfaction.
- Partner with department heads to strengthen motivation and reduce attrition.
- Build a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
6. Leadership & People Development:
- Act as a strategic partner to management in decision-making and organizational planning.
- Mentor and guide the HR team to develop professional and leadership skills.
- Lead initiatives to build leadership capability and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Support management in change management and communication strategies.
7. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling:
- Serve as the point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and policy clarifications.
- Ensure timely, fair, and documented resolution of all employee-related concerns.
- Promote a culture of openness, professionalism, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to POSH, disciplinary, and ethical conduct policies.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in payroll, HR operations, and performance management systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and people-handling skills.
- Strategic mindset with proficiency in HR analytics and dashboards.
- Sound understanding of labor laws and statutory compliances.
- Experience with HRMS tools like Zoho.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA in Human Resources or equivalent degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 college (mandatory).
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in HR operations, payroll, and performance management.
- Proven experience in leadership, budgeting, and HR strategy formulation.
- Prior exposure to fast-paced industries like FMCG or AlcoBev preferred.
- Experience managing 150+ employees across multiple locations or functions.
