You didn't build your expertise in private equity, investment banking, or Big 4 M&A advisory to spend your days monitoring budgets and approving slide presentations.Your mandate is to design, challenge, and propel — converting ambiguous strategy into disciplined execution frameworks, not multi-year projections that sit on shelves. You've honed the craft of financial modeling in demanding environments. Now you're ready to apply that expertise where it directly influences operating roadmaps, not merely supporting investment theses. This role delivers that opportunity.Trilogy seeks a finance strategist with operational intuition and deal-making precision: a professional who excels amid uncertainty, drives accountability, and harnesses AI as an extension of cognitive capacity. You'll collaborate directly with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS and education ventures, constructing the financial infrastructure and investment logic that enable intelligent scaling, not unchecked growth. If your ideal workweek involves dissecting a fragile strategy, reconstructing it with phased objectives and performance controls, and delivering analysis that reorients executive priorities, this opportunity aligns with your strengths. You won't oversee large finance teams. You won't enforce budgetary compliance. You won't wait years to see results. You'll drive strategy with velocity, discipline, and AI-augmented rigor, and your contributions will redirect the course of ventures reshaping their industries.
What You Will Be Doing
- Constructing and maintaining integrated 3-statement models with granular drivers, ERP data feeds, and AI-powered scenario analysis.
- Delivering complete investment packages — models, sensitivity frameworks, and executive-ready memoranda — within 72 hours.
- Stress-testing customer acquisition costs, retention metrics, pricing structures, utilization rates, and other critical levers to clarify assumptions and identify high-impact variables.
- Transforming weak business plans into structured, trackable execution sequences with KPI-based controls.
- Managing and refining dynamic financial systems that enable real-time decision-making across SaaS and education portfolios.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Managing month-end close processes, audit filings, or compliance workflows — this is not a controllership or FP&A management position.
- Leading large teams or serving as a people manager — influence stems from deliverables, not organizational span.
- Producing presentations that languish unread — every strategic recommendation must be supported by robust models, validated assumptions, and actionable decision criteria.
- Working at a measured pace — this is an accelerated, AI-enabled, ambiguity-forward environment by intent.
- Waiting for approval to challenge assumptions — your role is to scrutinize strategy and enhance its precision and speed.
