Role Overview

Sustainability & ESG Practice Lead

building and scaling the sustainability practice

Key Responsibilities

1. ESG Reporting & Strategy

• Design and manage ESG data collection and audit workstreams across global operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (data providers, auditors, sustainability leads) to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
• Apply leading ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, UN Global Compact, EURD) and ensure alignment with corporate governance priorities.
• Advise clients on ESG risk management, sustainability goals (Net Zero, SBTi), and emissions tracking.
• Support sustainability disclosure development using annual reports, CSR/sustainability reports, and proxy statements.
• Conduct ESG due diligence and prepare risk assessments and performance dashboards.

2. Digital Solutions for Logistics & Transportation

• Define and deliver

  digital ESG solutions

  to modernize logistics and transportation operations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in

  TMS platforms

  ,

  control tower software

  (e.g., FourKites, FarEye), and analytics-driven optimization.
• Evaluate and implement sustainability tools such as

  IBM Envizi

  ,

  Sphera

  ,

  Integrity.NXT

  , and

  FRDM.AI

• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and high-impact consulting engagements to expand the ESG digital footprint.

3. Capability Building & Practice Development

• Create ESG consulting frameworks, templates, and best-practice toolkits to strengthen internal capability.
• Partner with technology providers to co-develop AI-driven sustainability solutions.
• Lead alliances and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for sustainability offerings.
• Mentor teams in ESG data management, reporting automation, and digital transformation.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Domain Expertise:

• 10–12 years in Supply Chain with strong hands-on experience in Transportation / Logistics

  .
• Proven CO₂ footprint reporting experience.
• Exposure to

  Supply Chain Planning, Inventory, S&OP, Order Management

  is an advantage.

• Sustainability & ESG Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of global ESG regulations (GHGRP, TCFD, ESOS, SECR, CSRD

  ) for North America and Europe.
• Practical experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data management, and audit processes.
• Experience with sustainability tool implementations –

  Envizi, Sphera, Integrity NXT, FRDM.AI

• Digital & Analytical Skills:

• Familiarity with AI/ML

  ,

  Statistical Tools (R/Python/SAS)

  data visualization

  (Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation abilities.
• Strong solution design and consulting experience on RFx / large deal pursuits.
