About the Role


The Supply Chain Manager – India is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations within India, while also anchoring the regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across India, Middle East, and Africa. This role ensures strategic alignment between demand and supply, enhances operational resilience, and supports scalable business growth. By driving excellence in planning, logistics, and warehousing, and fostering cross-functional collaboration, the incumbent plays a critical role in delivering customer satisfaction and building a future-ready supply chain organization.


Responsibilities


  • End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership: Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations in India, including demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics (imports & exports), ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
  • Regional S&OP Process Ownership: Lead and facilitate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across India, Middle East, and Africa, driving alignment between commercial, supply, and finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and balanced supply-demand planning.
  • Operational Excellence & Resilience: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity across diverse and dynamic markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial, finance, manufacturing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Talent Development & Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning, while mentoring and developing future leaders.
  • Performance Monitoring & Strategic Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.


Qualifications


  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly preferred, especially with a focus on Operations, Logistics, or Strategy.
  • Professional Experience: Min 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in managing end-to-end supply chain operations including planning, warehousing, logistics, procurement, and S&OP. Exposure to fast-paced, complex industries such as FMCG, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or consumer goods. Bachelor in supply chain management, or MBA supply chain or related fields. APICS/CPIM Certified (Complete preferred). Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment using automated demand and supply planning process. Total experience in a fast-paced industry like FMCG/Foods.

  • Advanced Planning & S&OP Expertise: Deep knowledge of integrated business planning, demand forecasting, and supply-demand balancing, with experience leading cross-regional S&OP processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Proficiency in lean principles, process optimization, and performance management to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and service level improvements.
  • Digital & Analytical Capability: Strong command of supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, advanced planning tools), data analytics, and KPI-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration across functions, and build capabilities for future growth.
  • Risk & Resilience Management: Expertise in identifying supply chain risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and agility in complex environments.

  • Leadership: The role requires a strategic and empowering leadership style, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies. The Supply Chain Manager must lead with vision and purpose, drive cross-functional collaboration, mentor and develop talent, enable decision-making, champion change and innovation, and represent the function regionally.
