Role & responsibilities

• Procurement Strategy

  : Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with objectives, considering cost, quality, supplier performance, and risk.

• Supplier Management

  : Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiation

  : Lead supplier negotiations for favourable terms and pricing. Optimize value through contract negotiations.

• Sourcing and Vendor Selection

  : Identify and evaluate vendors to meet needs. Implement structured sourcing for a robust supply chain

• Budget and Cost Control:

  Collaborate with finance to establish and manage procurement budgets. Implement cost-control measures for quality cost savings.

• Contract Management

  : Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, monitor contract performance, and handle contract disputes if they arise.

• Risk Management

  : Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability issues.

• Process Improvement

  : Continuously review and enhance procurement processes to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.

• Inventory Management

  : Work closely with inventory control teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts.

• Compliance and Ethics

  : Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management techniques.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements.
• Should be proficient with Kannada and Hindi.
• Should own a vehicle.
