Engineering Manager
Position Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and the performance and results of the multiple agile teams across the Engineering organization. This position will oversee the planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expense priorities. They are also responsible for recommending and implementing changes to methods.

Deliverables And Performance Measures
Team Leadership & Agile Delivery
- Lead and manage multiple agile teams (8+ members) to deliver high-impact projects on time and within scope.
- Participate in all agile ceremonies to ensure agile best practices are followed.
- Monitor team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Technical Oversight
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in architecture, design, and development using technologies such as ASP.NET Core, MVC, React, SQL Server, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Azure.
- Ensure adherence to SOLID principles, clean architecture, and design patterns.
- Oversee implementation of secure APIs, OAuth, SAML, and token-based authentication mechanisms.
People & Performance Management
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage expectations, communicate progress, and resolve conflicts effectively.
Project & Task Management
- Prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
What Will Make You Successful
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong technical leadership in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- 12-15 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Entity Framework Core.
- Proven expertise in building robust backend systems with SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, and other NoSQL technologies.
- Experience developing modern, responsive front-end applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and enterprise-grade UI libraries like Fluent UI or Material UI.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and deployment using Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD automation.
- Ability to integrate AI/ML capabilities using Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning to enhance application intelligence.
- Strong background in designing and securing APIs using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT-based authentication.
- Expertise in applying architectural best practices such as SOLID principles, clean architecture, domain-driven design (DDD), and microservices.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and SignalR for building event-driven and real-time systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound architectural decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to code quality, performance optimization, and secure development practices.
- Passion for continuous learning and driving the adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency with agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, and Azure Boards.
- Proven track record of mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.

Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position with regular office hours from Monday through Friday.
