SAP Technical Architect (S/4HANA Migration & BRIM)

Location: Remote but as and when client required need to visit Bangalore office at Whitefield.

Key Expertise

SAP ECC to S/4HANA Migration:

Minimum 3 full-cycle S/4HANA migrations (Brownfield & Greenfield preferred), knowledge of simplification items in finance, order management & revenue accounting, Universal Journal (ACDOCA) mapping from ECC tables, Central Finance concepts, data archiving and data volume management pre-migration.

BRIM / BRIMM:

Deep knowledge of Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI), FI-CA, and Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR). Experience with hybrid monetisation models.

Technical Expertise:

Hands-on with S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (Direct Transfer, Staging, File Upload), SAP Data Services (BODS) for ETL, SUM/DMO for technical migration, working with ABAP developers to extend migration objects, HANA modelling for BRIM reporting, understanding of BRIM-specific tables and S/4HANA core tables.

Integration Skills:

Integration of BRIM with CRM (SAP CRM, SAP C4C, Salesforce), CPQ tools (SAP CPQ, Salesforce CPQ, Apttus), payment gateways (Adyen, PayPal, Stripe) via SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI, external tax engines (Vertex, Avalara), and ERP systems for consolidated reporting. Knowledge of real-time vs batch integration strategies.

Data Migration & Validation:

Design migration strategy, identify in-scope data, data cleansing and cutover sequencing. Master data conversion (Business Partner, Material, pricing conditions to BRIM), transactional data migration (open AR, open orders, billing docs, unbilled usage) and post-migration reconciliation (balance reconciliation, test billing cycles, invoice outputs).

Project Delivery:

SAP Activate methodology for S/4HANA, Fit-to-Standard workshops, RICEFW development for BRIM, testing strategy (SIT, UAT, regression), cutover planning and execution (parallel billing runs), hypercare support to stabilise BRIM processes post go-live.

Soft Skills & Leadership:

Executive communication to explain migration/BRIM decisions to business sponsors, cross-functional leadership bridging finance, IT, sales & billing. Ability to translate technical issues into business impact, resolve conflicts where legacy processes cannot migrate 1:1, and coach internal teams to maintain BRIM post-implementation.
