Position Overview:

Retail Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Implementation

• Develop and execute

  monthly and seasonal merchandising plans

  aligned with sales forecasts and business goals.
• Strategically plan

  product assortment, stock allocation, and inventory rotation

  for each store.
• Lead the

  implementation of merchandising strategies

  at the store level through coordination with store teams.
• Collaborate with management to introduce

  new categories

  , trends, or products based on customer insights.
• Create

  launch plans

  for new store setups and product rollouts, ensuring timely and quality execution.

2. Merchandising & Store Display

• Ensure in-store displays reflect the brand aesthetic and are updated regularly as per planograms.
• Supervise visual merchandising setup during campaigns, sales events, and new product launches.
• Monitor customer behavior and recommend layout or display improvements based on footfall and conversion rates.

3. Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal stock levels at all stores by forecasting demand and monitoring turnover.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams for smooth stock transfer and replenishment.
• Conduct monthly inventory audits and ensure accurate stock reporting and documentation.

4. POS & System Handling

• Oversee POS systems at retail outlets; ensure smooth billing, offer integration, and accurate reporting.
• Train store staff on using POS systems effectively for stock entries, returns, and sales data capture.

5. Vendor Coordination & Procurement

• Source, negotiate, and finalize vendors for product procurement, packaging, and display materials.
• Track purchase orders and follow up on timely deliveries, quality assurance, and payments.
• Maintain long-term vendor relationships for consistency in supply and pricing.

6. Sales Analysis & Reporting

• Track weekly and monthly sales performance across products, categories, and stores.
• Analyze low- and high-performing SKUs to drive merchandising decisions and improve profitability.
• Share actionable insights with the management team for inventory planning and product lifecycle decisions.

7. Store Operations & Team Coordination

• Collaborate closely with

  store managers, marketing, accounts, and operations

  teams to implement merchandising strategies.
• Support staff training for planogram compliance, stock handling, and display management.
• Visit stores regularly to ensure brand consistency, resolve operational gaps, and implement improvements.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education:

  Graduate in Retail, Business, or a related field. Diploma in Merchandising is a plus.

• Experience:

  5 to 6 years of experience in retail merchandising (experience in lifestyle, fashion, FMCG, or wellness categories preferred).

• Skills:

• Strong expertise in

  merchandising planning and execution

• Hands-on knowledge of

  POS and inventory systems

• Analytical skills to interpret sales and stock data
• Excellent communication, vendor negotiation, and coordination abilities
• Comfortable working across multiple store locations and willing to travel when required
