Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the overall Independent Outlet (IO) and Hospital / Institution business in the assigned territory. (This excludes National Key Accounts).The RSM is responsible to drive compliant and sustainable growth in the assigned terrirtory
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to shape and grow the region, aligned with organizational objectives and growth plans.
- Ensure seamless integration and execution of channel strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
- Contribute meaningfully in shaping the overall business strategy
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of Customer Development Managers and outsourced sales representatives
- Drive accountability and performance through structured goal setting and regular reviews.
- Develop sales leadership pipeline within own team
- Operational Excellence & Commercial Accumen:
- Ensure consistent delivery of sales targets across the region
- Analyse and segment territory to identify growth drivers
- Distributor management to ensure required service levels and collaboratively growing the region
- Ensure effective execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and inventory management.
- Monitor channel-wise profitability and drive corrective measures to meet financial goals.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with seg A accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through personalized strategies and best-in-class service delivery.
- Market Intelligence & Innovation:
- Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster innovation in sales approaches, leveraging data and technology to optimize performance.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate and work closely with HO teams of Marketing, Sales Ops, Supply Chain, Professional Development to drive required interventions for the region

Reporting & Coordination:
- Maintaining reporting discipline and timely submission of Sales Forecast, Monthly Activity Plan and various formats, Phaco Funnel, Month Report, Expenses.
- Appropriate coordination with Sales & Marketing and support functions for jobs to be done
Data Recording & Analysis:
- Coordinate with sales team to collate the data on competitor product range with pricing & marketing strategy.
- Keeping record of JJV secondary / tertiary sales in the market.
- Analysis of territory sales data, working reports and based on that give feedback to team & superior and, also, take corrective / supportive actions.
- Ensure to maintain DSO below 60 days.
Education: Bachelors Degree
in Science / Commerce / Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation). MBA from a reputed institute will be an added advantage
Experience And Skills:
>10 years experience in sales in FMCG/FMCH or Optical Industry. Experience in Optical Industry is an added advantage
