Job Summary

Purchase executive

This role will be responsible for sourcing, evaluate, and finalize suppliers for project-specific components, raw materials, and services.

Roles & Responsibilities

Procurement:

• Source, evaluate, and finalize suppliers for project-specific components, raw materials, and services.
• Request and compare quotations (RFQ/RFP) to ensure cost competitiveness.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors.
• Raise purchase orders (POs), track approvals, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships for improved quality and reliability.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Project Coordination:

• Work closely with project managers, engineering, and production teams.
• Understand project BOM, specifications, engineering changes (ECNs), and ensure material readiness.
• Ensure timely procurement in line with project timelines and customer requirements.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide supply chain status updates.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure materials meet required quality standards and coordinate with QC for inspections.
• Handle supplier NCRs, rejections, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF, etc.) where applicable.
• Documentation & Reporting.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare cost comparison sheets, procurement status reports, and project supply chain metrics.
• Monitor and update SAP system.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of automotive components, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with procurement, sourcing, vendor management.
• Good understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP
• Negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle project deadlines and multi-task efficiently.

Qualification:

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Production.
• Experience: 3–4 Years (Mobility Industry).
