DatatechWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate to build, lead, and scale the operational framework of our new MSME division. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for managing both our on-ground and in-office teams to ensure a seamless client journey from onboarding to loan disbursement and beyond. You will be the central point of contact for operational efficiency, team performance, lender coordination, and data-driven reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the on-ground client acquisition team and the in-office operations team.
  • Set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop training programs for team members on processes, platform usage, and client management.
  • Process Management & Optimization.
  • Design, implement, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire operations cycle, including MSME onboarding, document verification, application processing, and post-disbursement support.

Process Management & Optimization

  • Design, implement, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire operations cycle, including MSME onboarding, document verification, application processing, and post-disbursement support.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT).
  • Oversee the end-to-end tracking of loan applications raised by MSMEs.
  • Act as the primary operational liaison with our partner lending institutions (Banks, NBFCs).
  • Proactively follow up with lenders to ensure timely application processing, query resolution, and sanctioning. Manage and strengthen these institutional relationships.

MIS & Reporting

  • Develop, manage, and circulate comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Track key operational metrics such as lead-to-conversion ratio, application processing time, approval rates, and team productivity.
  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Client Lifecycle Management:
  • Ensure a smooth and professional onboarding experience for all MSME clients.
  • Implement systems to manage the ongoing relationship with onboarded SMEs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying potential for future business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in an operations management role within a lending platform, fintech, NBFC, or bank.
  • Direct experience in the MSME or SME lending sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling both field and office-based teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), and CRM software.
  • Strong proficiency in creating and analyzing MIS reports using tools like MS Excel, Google Sheets, and other BI tools.
  • Excellent understanding of the loan lifecycle, including credit assessment, documentation, and compliance requirements in India.
  • A Master's degree in Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a startup or helping build a new business unit from the ground up.
