Job Title: Procurement Manager – Festive & Corporate Gifting Business Unit: Peepal – Premium Printing, Packaging & Gifting Solutions Location: Delhi NCR (primary focus on local markets such as Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Karol Bagh) Reports to: Head – Peepal Gifting Unit 1. Role Summary Peepal is expanding its high-end corporate gifting vertical and seeks a hands-on Procurement Manager who lives and breathes festive trends. From Diwali hampers to New Year collectibles, you’ll curate, source, and negotiate the best-in-class products that delight our enterprise clients while meeting budget and sustainability goals. 2. Key Responsibilities Area What You’ll Own Trend Scouting & Curation Track seasonal and cultural gifting trends (Diwali, Holi, Christmas, NY, corporate anniversaries, ESG-friendly gifts). Translate insights into curated product shortlists aligned with brand guidelines and client briefs. Vendor Development & Partnerships Identify, qualify, and on-board artisans, manufacturers, and wholesalers across Delhi NCR’s gifting hubs (Chandni Chowk, NCR industrial clusters, craft cooperatives, etc.). Maintain long-term, win-win vendor relationships to secure priority production slots and exclusive designs. Sourcing & Negotiation Run RFPs/RFQs, benchmark landed costs, and negotiate price, MOQs, payment terms, and warranties. Ensure compliance with Peepal’s sustainability and quality standards (zero-defect, eco-friendly packaging, 0 % wastage mandate). Planning & Inventory Management Forecast demand by client segment and campaign calendar; align inventory buffers to avoid stockouts. Coordinate with internal logistics and warehousing to ensure timely receipt, QC, and dispatch. Cost & Quality Assurance Drive cost-savings without compromising craftsmanship or brand value. Oversee incoming QC; audit vendors for ethical practices and material authenticity. Cross-Functional Support Liaise with the design, sales, and marketing teams for bespoke gifting concepts. Support maintenance of ERP data, purchase orders, and procurement KPIs. 3. Must-Have Qualifications & Experience 5–8 years in procurement or buying, with at least 3 years in corporate/festive gifting or lifestyle products. Proven network of vendors in Delhi local markets (Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, NCR industrial areas). Demonstrated success in price negotiations and cost-control while upholding premium quality. Solid knowledge of packaging materials, sustainable alternatives, and finishing processes. 4. Desired Skills & Traits Sharp trend-spotting instincts; passion for design and cultural aesthetics. Negotiation maestro with strong numeracy and commercial acumen. Relationship builder who can collaborate with artisans, factories, and corporate stakeholders alike.
