Job Title: Procurement Manager – Alibaba & China Export Specialist

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement from China using Alibaba, 1688, and other sourcing platforms.
• Identify reliable suppliers, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing, MOQs, and delivery terms.
• Conduct supplier background checks, factory verifications, and quality assessments before finalizing orders.
• Coordinate sample procurement, approvals, and final order placement.
• Handle communication with Chinese vendors through Alibaba chat, email, and WhatsApp/WeChat.
• Compare product quality, specifications, and costs across multiple suppliers to ensure best sourcing decisions.
• Manage purchase orders, proforma invoices, and contract documentation.
• Ensure timely production updates, quality checks, and order tracking with suppliers.
• Work closely with freight forwarders and logistics teams for shipping arrangements (air/sea cargo).
• Verify packaging, labeling, and export compliance as per client requirements.
• Resolve issues related to delays, quality complaints, or shipment discrepancies.
• Maintain sourcing reports, cost sheets, and vendor performance records.
• Stay updated on China market trends, price fluctuations, and new product opportunities.
• Optimize procurement costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience using Alibaba, 1688, Made-in-China, or similar B2B sourcing platforms
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of export documentation (PI, CI, PL, BL, COO, etc.)
• Understanding of international logistics, Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.), and customs
• Strong communication skills (English mandatory; knowledge of basic Chinese terms is a plus)
• Good Excel and report management skills
• Problem-solving and ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2–5 years of experience in international procurement/sourcing
• Experience in China export procurement is strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
