Key Responsibilities Conduct vendor selection and registration processes, including credibility checks and continuous vendor performance evaluation. Ensure timely placement of purchase orders by considering material lead times and overall project delivery schedules. Track material delivery timelines and maintain optimal minimum stock levels to support uninterrupted operations. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent material shortages or excess stock. Calculate minimum order quantities, danger levels, and develop contingency plans for arranging materials on short notice. Procure solar materials for government projects in accordance with approved technical specifications and compliance standards. Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and purchase contracts as per organizational policies and project requirements. Oversee warranties, service agreements, and vendor support to ensure timely replacements, repairs, or service-related resolutions. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors to ensure competitive pricing, consistent quality, and continuity of supply. Stay updated with industry trends, solar technologies, MNRE guidelines, ALMM requirements, and other applicable compliance norms. Collaborate effectively with project, logistics, and finance teams to ensure a smooth and coordinated procurement workflow. Maintain accurate procurement records and support internal/external audits, reporting, and documentation needs. Lead price negotiations and commercial discussions to secure favorable terms and value for the organization. Forecast procurement requirements and develop purchase plans for upcoming orders and government projects. Qualification Requirements Postgraduate degree (preferably in Commerce). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the solar or EPC domain.
