Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager at Fresh Platter, you will ensure seamless day-to-day operations across warehousing, logistics, and processing, driving efficiency, accuracy, and accountability at every level. Your key responsibilities include: 1)  Warehouse Management ·        Oversee all daily operations including receiving, storage, grading, and dispatch of goods. ·        Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure smooth, timely flow of materials. ·        Manage labor for loading/unloading, enforcing safety and productivity standards. · Continuously optimize warehouse layout and processes for efficiency and throughput. 2)      Material Processing and Quality ·       Supervise fruit handling and material processing to meet Fresh Platter’s quality benchmarks. ·        Work closely with quality teams to minimize damage and ensure export-grade output. ·        Drive improvements in packaging, handling, and sorting systems.   3)      Logistics and Distribution ·        Plan and coordinate daily truck schedules for dispatches and empty crate returns. ·        Track vehicle and driver performance, ensuring on-time deliveries and cost control. ·        Collaborate with transport partners for route optimization and freight cost reduction.   4)      Data Management and Reporting ·        Maintain accurate digital records of inventory, dispatches, crate movement, and material flow. ·        Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review. ·        Use Zoho Books and Trace360 (crate traceability) to maintain operational transparency.   5)       Team Leadership and Development ·        Lead and motivate warehouse and logistics teams, setting clear KPIs and accountability metrics. ·        Conduct  regular reviews, training,   and cross-functional coordination with procurement and finance. ·        Build a culture of discipline, responsibility, and continuous improvement. 6)      Compliance and Safety ·        Enforce health, hygiene, and safety protocols across the warehouse and loading zones. ·        Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company and statutory requirements.   7)       Continuous Improvement & Technology ·        Identify and implement process improvements using data-driven analysis. ·        Leverage automation tools and digital systems (Zoho, Trace360, etc.) to streamline operations. ·        Work with R&D and management teams to pilot new technologies for efficiency and scalability.   8)       Ownership & Accountability ·        Take complete ownership of daily operational results — volume handled, costs, and team productivity. ·        Resolve on-ground challenges proactively, ensuring management bandwidth is focused on growth and strategy.
