Role Summary:
The Operations Head oversees the end-to-end operational chain of RMC Collections — from buyer order confirmation to product delivery. This role provides strategic supervision of both Merchandising (sampling, order management, buyer communication) and Production (design, material sourcing, QA, finishing, and dispatch). The Operations Head ensures cross-functional synchronization, accuracy, accountability, and agility, maintaining RMC’s reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Planning, Alignment & Execution Control

• Prepare monthly operational plans integrating merchandising forecasts and production capacity.
• Conduct weekly inter-department review meetings (Merchandising, QA, Production, Purchase, Packaging).
• Approve weekly production priorities based on buyer timelines.
• Monitor workflow bottlenecks between design, sampling, and production.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment using ERP trackers and dashboards.

Buyer Commitment Delivery (Sampling, Orders & Dispatch)

• Ensure all buyer samples, PP approvals, and bulk orders follow approved process flows.
• Oversee production readiness, QA clearance, and dispatch scheduling.
• Review pending orders and drive on-time completion.
• Support Merchandising in resolving buyer queries regarding timelines or quality.
• Guarantee on-time dispatch for all confirmed orders.

Cost, Quality & Timeline Optimization

• Review cost sheets, material usage, and production efficiency reports.
• Monitor production costs and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce lead time from order confirmation to dispatch.
• Drive initiatives for process automation and digital efficiency.

Process Monitoring, Data Review & System Enforcement

• Ensure daily data entry and tracker updates in ERP across departments.
• Review QA, Merchandising, and Production reports regularly.
• Validate CAPA closures, rejection reports, and delivery dashboards.
• Enforce SOP compliance across all operational departments.
• Conduct performance reviews for all vertical heads.

Leadership, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Lead all departmental heads under the merchandising and production structure.
• Implement a performance-driven culture with clarity and accountability.
• Present monthly operations summaries to the Managing Director.
• Build inter-departmental coordination and resolve escalations proactively.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects across systems and processes.
