Job Title : IT Infrastructure & Operations Lead

  • Location : Bangalore (In-office)
  • Reports to : Infrastructure Manager
  • Experience : 6 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.

About The Role

We are looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Operations Lead to own and scale our IT environment as we continue to grow rapidly. This is a mid-senior role for someone who can balance strategic IT operations with day-to-day technical leadership, ensuring our employees have secure, reliable, and seamless access to the tools and infrastructure they need.You will lead a small IT support team (L1 Engineers), manage vendors, and take full responsibility for endpoint security, hardware lifecycle, conferencing systems, and business continuity planning. The role demands strong ownership, the ability to work independently, and experience in startup / mid-size company environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Operations, Collaboration & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of L1 IT Support Engineers, ensure SLAs and KPIs are met.
  • Own IT asset lifecycle management procurement, deployment, inventory, and secure decommissioning.
  • Manage relationships with hardware, SaaS, and IT service vendors.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management using ITSM tools.
  • Manage video conferencing solutions (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) including conference room hardware (Logitech, Poly, Crestron, etc.).
  • Design and maintain meeting room standards for scale and usability.
  • Provide VIP/executive support during board meetings, all-hands, and customer events.
  • Endpoint & Security Management :
  • Administer Windows, macOS, and mobile devices using MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, SCCM).
  • Enforce IT security policies including MFA, SSO, disk encryption, patching, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams or third-party partners (if any) on compliance, audits, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure timely rollouts of security patches, OS updates, and software upgrades across all endpoints.
  • Process, Documentation & BCP :
  • Create and maintain SOPs, onboarding guides, and knowledge base documentation for IT operations.
  • Implement self-service solutions to reduce repetitive IT support requests.
  • Contribute to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) by ensuring backup systems, recovery testing, and minimal downtime.
  • Track IT metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership.
  • SaaS Tools & User Lifecycle Management :
  • Administer and optimize SaaS applications (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Notion, Atlassian, etc.), ensuring secure and cost-efficient usage.
  • Manage license provisioning, renewals, and usage monitoring to avoid overspend and shadow IT.

Own The Employee Onboarding And Offboarding Process End-to-end

  • Provision laptops, SaaS accounts, and access rights for new hires.
  • Conduct IT inductions to familiarize employees with company tools and security practices.
  • Revoke access, recover assets, and ensure data transfer/security during offboarding.

Qualifications

  • 6 - 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint administration (Windows, macOS, iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on with MDM/endpoint security tools (Intune, Jamf, SCCM, CrowdStrike, etc.).
  • Proven experience with O365 / Google Workspace administration.
  • Familiarity with networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs) and vendor collaboration.
  • Prior experience managing video conferencing solutions and room setups.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Demonstrated ability to create IT documentation, SOPs, and BCP processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to support executives, remote users and liaise with cross-functional teams.
  • Startup or mid-sized company experience is a plus.
