Role Summary:

The Plant HR Specialist will oversee end-to-end human resource management at the dairy plant, ensuring effective manpower planning, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and alignment of HR practices with plant operations. The role demands a hands-on HR professional with strong industrial relations experience and the ability to work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support plant efficiency and employee well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding for plant-level roles (technical, production, logistics, etc.).
  • Coordinate with functional heads to ensure adequate manpower availability as per production plans.
  • Drive workforce optimization initiatives.


2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Maintain harmonious employee relations and address grievances effectively.
  • Foster a positive work culture through regular engagement activities and communication forums.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement action plans.


3. Statutory Compliance & IR

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all labour laws and statutory requirements (Factories Act, ESI, PF, CLRA, etc.).
  • Liaise with local authorities, government bodies, and labour departments.
  • Handle contract labour management and ensure vendor compliance.
  • Support disciplinary actions and grievance redressal procedures as per company policies.


4. Performance Management & Development

  • Drive the annual appraisal process for plant employees.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs.
  • Support leadership development initiatives at the plant level.


5. Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee attendance management, shift scheduling, and leave administration.
  • Coordinate with payroll for timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain employee records, documentation, and HRMIS data integrity.


6. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Promote workplace safety culture in collaboration with the EHS team.
  • Drive welfare initiatives such as medical camps, canteen facilities, and housing support.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health standards.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably in a dairy / FMCG / manufacturing setup.
  • Technical Skills:

    Sound understanding of labour laws, payroll systems, and HRIS.
  • Soft Skills:

    Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, leadership presence, and negotiation skills.
  • Languages:

    Proficiency in English ,Hindi and Marathi
