As the HR Assistant Manager, you will assist in the management and execution of human resources strategies, ensuring effective HR operations that align with business goals. This role focuses on employee engagement, recruitment, performance management, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure a positive work environment and contribute to the organizations success.
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
Assist in developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract top talent across various functions.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and coordinating onboarding.
Build relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional networks to maintain a talent pipeline.
Ensure a seamless onboarding process, including orientation and induction programs for new hires.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee grievances and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Assist in organizing employee engagement programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives to promote morale and retention.
Support employee communications, including internal newsletters, policy updates, and announcements.
Performance Management:
Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year, and annual appraisals.
Assist managers in conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback to employees.
Help identify high-potential employees and work with the HR Manager to create development plans.
Training & Development:
Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and design relevant programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Coordinate with external training providers to organize workshops, seminars, and certifications.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary to meet business needs.
HR Policies & Compliance:
Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with labor laws,
employment regulations, and company policies across all HR activities.
Keep up-to-date with legal and regulatory changes, ensuring the organization remains compliant with employment laws.
Compensation & Benefits:
Help in administering the companys compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, health insurance, and other employee benefits.
Conduct periodic salary reviews and participate in compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive and fair pay structures.
Support the HR team in managing employee benefits, including medical coverage, retirement plans, and leave policies.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights on employee turnover, recruitment effectiveness, engagement levels, and more.
Generate HR reports and dashboards for management to support decision-making.
Track key HR metrics such as headcount, employee satisfaction, and diversity.
Employee Discipline & Grievance Handling:
Assist in managing disciplinary actions, investigations, and employee disputes, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
Handle sensitive employee issues and ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
HR Operations & Administration:
Support day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, and managing documentation.
Oversee employee exit processes, including
exit interviews and ensuring proper offboarding procedures are followed.
Manage attendance, leaves, and other administrative tasks.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the HR Manager and other team members to ensure smooth HR operations.
Provide guidance to junior HR staff and interns, ensuring they are aligned with the department's objectives.
Liaise with department heads to understand and address their HR-related needs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA in HR preferred).
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in human resources, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced corporate environment is preferred, with an understanding of the specific HR challenges within these sectors.
Desired Skills:
Experience in talent management and employee engagement strategies.
Proficiency in handling HR metrics and analytics for data-driven decision-making.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior HR staff.
