Job Description

Role Title: Controller – Finance & Accounts

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Bangalore, India

Budget - 20 - 25LPA


Role Dimensions:

The role is an integral part of US accounting projects within SBS Global to provide support with activities like Budgeting, Forecasting, reviewing P&L’s, Preparation of financial statements, audit coordination Cashflow Management, AR invoicing, handling Inter Company related financial transactions and reconciliation.


Education Qualification and Professional experience:

·      CA with 10 - 12 years’ experience in preparing budgets and revenue forecasts. Review & analyse monthly MIS and conduct variance analysis. Should have good knowledge in US GAAP/IFRS standards.

·      Should have prior experience in managing a team of accountants

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Deliverables:

·      Ability to manage multiple clients independently

·      To own the process completely

·      Controller will to be the single point of contact for assigned clients.

·      Involve in account from transition phase

·      Get to understand Client’s business on existing process reporting requirements

·      Critical thinking and to question on standard process to implementing best practices in the industry

·      Assess manpower requirement and involve in hiring process

·      Act as the primary liaison for delivery with transition & implementation

·      Identify areas for process improvements and to implement best practices that is being followed

·      Problem solving abilities

·      Detailed review and submission of financials to client and discussion and analysis of the variances

·      Should identify gaps in the process and implement requisite control mechanism

·      Identify knowledge gaps and work on training needs of his team

·      Controller has to have strong analytical and organizational skills

·      Controller must be result-oriented, have a passion for change implementation

·      Work with different towers and make sure client deliverables are managed well.

·      Be self-motivated and proactive requiring minimal supervision, have strong leadership capabilities

·      Exceptionally good communication skills both in written and verbal form

·      Subject matter expert – AR, AP and GL

·      Coordination with auditors, scheduling and completion of the audit within statutory timelines

·      Handling the communication with end customers and internal customers to address process requirements and escalation handling


Desired Knowledge, skills, and attitudes:

·      Working experience with SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP will be an added advantage

·      Working Knowledge of MS Office

·      Experience in interacting with a cross-functional team and global clientele / stakeholders

·      Strong analytical and data gathering skills

·      Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·      Good knowledge in US GAAP/IFRS standards

·      Month end close – Should have good month end close process knowledge along with Journal entries.

·      Client Management

·      Team management skills
