Job Title: DevOps Lead – Athena LMS Software

Location: Roorkee & Delhi (Requires travel between both locations) Working Days: 6 Days a Week Work Hours: 12 PM – 9 PM (Flexibility required for US & UK client meetings) Salary Range: USD 250–350 per month

• Athena LMS Core Platform – AI-assisted learning system with an interactive lesson editor.
• Speechify Integration – TTS engine using Azure Cognitive and ElevenLabs APIs.
• Virtual Instructor (Paulmicheal) – AI avatar delivering live Zoom-based courses.
• Athena I (Canva Clone) – AI-based creative design and content generation tool.
• Maverick Payment Gateway – Secure payment integration with automated enrollment mapping.

Athena’s technology stack spans React, Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, and AI/ML APIs, integrated with scalable cloud infrastructure.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to design, implement, and manage our CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure for Athena’s AI-powered products.

This is a key leadership and hands-on technical role, responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and automation across all environments — development, staging, and production.

You will work closely with project managers, developers, AI engineers, and QA teams to streamline release processes and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities1. Infrastructure & Deployment Management

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, RDS, Route 53).
• Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for multiple projects (Athena LMS, Speechify, Virtual Instructor, Athena I, Maverick).
• Automate deployment workflows and server provisioning using tools like Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Ansible.
• Oversee multi-environment management (dev, staging, production).

2. Monitoring, Security & Reliability

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Manage logs, uptime, and incident responses for all Athena services.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and load balancing for web and AI services.
• Enforce cloud security best practices — IAM roles, key management, SSL/TLS, VPC setup.

3. Automation & Process Optimization

• Automate backup, rollback, and recovery procedures.
• Create infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Optimize build times and deployment efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers to improve code release cycles and deployment reliability.

4. AI & ML Infrastructure Support

• Support deployment of AI/ML models and APIs (OpenAI, Azure Cognitive, ElevenLabs, Whisper, LangChain).
• Set up GPU/compute environments where required.
• Maintain secure data pipelines for AI features such as TTS, voice cloning, and content generation.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
• Developers – for API integration and release readiness
• AI/ML Engineers – for model deployment and API optimization
• Project Managers – for sprint delivery and environment management
• QA Teams – for staging, regression, and production testing pipelines

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of all deployment workflows, configurations, and environments.
• Create checklists and SOPs for releases and incident management.
• Provide weekly infrastructure and performance reports to management.

Required Skills & QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Lead
• Proven experience in managing full-stack deployments (React + Node.js + MongoDB)
• Experience working in AI/ML-based SaaS or EdTech environments preferred

Technical Proficiency

• Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53), optional GCP/Azure
• DevOps Tools: Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD setup
• Version Control: Git/GitHub branching, merging, and version management
• Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus
• Scripting & Automation: Bash, Python, or Node-based automation scripts
• Security & Networking: IAM, SSL/TLS, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, VPC configuration
• Database: MongoDB Atlas, RDS configuration, backup automation
• AI/ML Deployment (Preferred): Containerization and API scaling for OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Azure Cognitive, etc.

• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Excellent team coordination and documentation ability
• Ability to handle live incidents, troubleshoot under pressure, and resolve critical issues quickly
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between locations as needed
