Job Title: Deputy Manager – Business Development (Preforms)


Location: Bangalore

Department: Sales & Business Development – Preforms

Reports To: Manager – Sales (Preforms)

Role Objective:


To support the growth of the Preforms vertical by identifying new business opportunities, expanding key accounts, driving revenue targets, and ensuring seamless execution from enquiry to delivery.



Key Responsibilities:


1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

• Identify and onboard new customers in the beverage, packaged water, edible oil, and other relevant sectors.

• Execute strategies to achieve business targets for volume and profitability.

• Build a strong sales pipeline and lead conversion efforts.


2. Account Management

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

• Coordinate for timely quotations, samples, trials, and delivery execution.

• Monitor customer satisfaction and service levels to drive retention.


3. Pricing & Commercials

• Support in pricing strategy, negotiations, and ensuring customer profitability.

• Collaborate with commercial and finance teams on quotes, contracts, and payment follow-ups.

• Ensure compliance with credit terms and contribute to receivables management.


4. Coordination & Execution

• Work closely with planning, production, logistics, and quality teams to meet delivery schedules and resolve customer issues.

• Facilitate product trials, customization requests, and technical clarifications.


5. Reporting & Market Intelligence

• Track sales performance, market developments, and competitor activity.

• Submit regular MIS reports and updates to the Manager – Sales.

• Provide inputs for sales forecasting and strategic planning.



Qualifications & Experience:

• MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Packaging preferred

• 5–7 years of B2B sales/business development experience, preferably in plastic packaging, FMCG, or manufacturing industries

• Prior experience in handling preform sales or working with clients in beverages/water/oil segments is a strong advantage



Skills & Competencies:

• Strong customer relationship and communication skills

• Commercial acumen and negotiation skills

• Solution-oriented and hands-on approach

• Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools

• Understanding of PET preform technology and molds (preferred)
