About the Role:

The Team:
Within S&P Global’s Mobility division, the Supply Chain, Technology & Aftermarket team is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving our insights and data assets that provide our client base with intelligence on these critical areas of the automotive value chain. Whilst the subject matter of the team straddles fifteen topical supply chain areas, this role will encompass conducting research and analysis to develop analytical dashboards that tracks automotive supplier activities and innovative startups globally. Impact:
The automotive supplier and startups analytical dashboards help our client to make informed investment decisions, evaluate the competitive landscape, and support the company's strategic growth initiatives. The role offers analysts an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and data analytics, allowing them to gain valuable skills and experience in the rapidly evolving business research industry. This role provides exposure to a wide range of internal and external subject matter experts, leading automotive suppliers, and emerging startups, enabling a platform for personal and professional growth, opening doors to exciting career opportunities within the company and beyond. Responsibilities:
Conducting secondary research and gathering data on automotive startups and suppliers from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness when entering information into the dashboard and tracker. Gain hands-on experience with our in-house data sources to collect and compile financial information such as funds raised, funding series, investor, partner and other related details for the dashboards. Download and analyze patents from patent databases to identify technology trends and assess startup focus areas, contributing to a deeper understanding of the industry landscape. Take initiative to learn about the automotive industry, technological trends, financial analysis and dashboard management, seeking opportunities for professional growth and contributing fresh perspectives to the team. Work closely with senior team members to understand project requirements and deliverables, actively participating in team meetings and discussions. Support the maintenance, updating, and enhancement of the dashboards containing intelligence on automotive startups and suppliers, ensuring that data is accurately presented and easily accessible for stakeholders. Implement rigorous data verification and quality control processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of the information in the dashboards and trackers. Effectively communicate findings and updates to internal stakeholders, tailoring the communication style to suit the audience and ensuring clarity and impact. What We’re Looking for:Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, statistics, business, or marketing/MBA freshers from renowned institutions, who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and a drive for success. One year apprenticeship experience in data analysis at a reputed organization is preferred. Passion and knowledge of automotive and technology. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including expertise in Excel and PowerPoint. Strong written and spoken English is a must. Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Basics of database management tools such as SQL, Access, Knime, Alteryx helpful but not essential. Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI helpful but not essential.
