### Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to serve as the Head of Accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the company. You will lead a team and ensure the integrity of financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance with all statutory regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing accounting who can provide crucial financial insights to support business decisions.

### Key Responsibilities

* **Financial Management:** Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial planning.

* **Taxation & Compliance:** Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax. Liaise with tax consultants, statutory auditors, and internal auditors to ensure seamless audits and full compliance.

* **Costing & Budgeting:** Develop and manage product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control systems for the manufacturing unit. Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor expenditures, and analyze variances.

* **Wholesale & Retail Accounting:** Supervise accounting for wholesale and retail operations, including credit control, receivables management, and margin analysis.

* **Team Leadership:** Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts team. Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of accuracy and efficiency.

* **Reporting & Analysis:** Provide management with timely financial reports, performance metrics, and data-driven analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

* **System & Process Improvement:** Drive improvements in accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal financial controls.

### Eligibility Criteria and Required Skills

* **Educational Qualification:** Must be a qualified **Chartered Accountant** (CA). A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) is also required.

* **Experience:**

* A minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role.

* Essential experience in a **manufacturing** environment is mandatory. Experience in the fertilizer, agrochemical, or a related industry is highly preferred.

* Demonstrated experience in handling accounts for both wholesale and retail business models.

* **Technical Skills:**

* In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and other relevant statutory laws.

* Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP, and experience with other ERP systems is a plus.

* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

* **Soft Skills:**

* Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

* Strong communication skills to liaise with management, team members, and external stakeholders.
