  • Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

    YOUR IMPACT

As a Capabilities & Insights (C&I) Analyst, you will be based in Gurugram, India, as part of our Digital & Tech Insights (DTi) to design and build scalable AI-driven solutions

As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from tech, strategy and sourcing to tech, delivery across a spectrum of domains with a particular focus on data foundations for AI adoption, GenAI, and emerging agentic solutions. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with our global firm.

You’ll also work with colleagues from across different arms of McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses on technology topics, including the adoption, scaling of GenAI, and responsible use of GenAI and AI data infrastructure.

Our office culture is casual, fun and social, with an emphasis on learning and innovation. You will have the freedom to try new ideas and experiment and are expected to be constantly learning and growing. There is also a strong emphasis on mentoring others in the group, enabling them to grow and learn.

Your role will be crucial in driving innovation and transformation. As the industry faces increasing complexity and competition, leveraging Generative AI can unlock new opportunities for efficiency, customer engagement, and risk management. Your work will directly impact on the ability of our internal teams to deliver advanced AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of our clients.

As a C&I Analyst in the DTi team, you will play a critical role in supporting a broad range of client project teams across various practices. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line support to client service teams, delivering high-quality analysis, insights and expertise to address their client needs.

You will also: collaborate with client project teams to scope and address their requirements by clarifying objectives and determining the most suitable and timely delivery approach; conduct in-depth research using qualified resources, such as proprietary and external databases and analyst reports, to provide accurate, up-to-date, and targeted information; perform standard analyses as needed, summarizing, synthesizing, and packaging relevant data and insights into client-ready formats, including well-developed documents, databases, models, and charts; support the development and codification of knowledge assets, such as detailed documents, knowledge nuggets, and qualification packs, while contributing to the creation of LOPs and other client development materials; assist in building and maintaining databases, tools, and capabilities, including knowledge repositories, fact packs, case studies, and primers, within your area of expertise; help clients identify high-value GenAI use cases, such as knowledge assistants, coding copilots, customer operations, and risk/compliance solutions, while shaping business cases and defining success metrics.

In addition to this, you will: contribute to data readiness for AI solutions by mapping and structuring datasets, defining and maintaining data ontologies, and exploring data graph models to support knowledge representation and AI use cases; collaborate with data engineering colleagues to prepare clean, structured, and well-labeled data pipelines that enable scalable AI deployment, while ensuring the integration of data from diverse sources with consistency, quality, and lineage tracking; stay updated on agentic/GenAI models and platform choices, such as Azure OpenAI Service, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and open-weight models; develop fluency in McKinsey terminology, concepts, and the Client Capabilities network, gaining proficiency in core information and data sources, firm formats, and IT tools.

You will take the initiative to support and coach junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment, while working closely with experienced colleagues who will mentor and provide feedback to support your professional and personal growth.

    YOUR GROWTH

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.

When you join us, you will have:

    • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
    • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
    • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
    • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
