Regional Business Development Manager - South India
A growth-stage player in the freight, logistics and supply‑chain sector that delivers end‑to‑end cargo, transportation and customs‑enabled solutions across domestic and international lanes. We operate a technology-enabled commercial model focused on optimizing shipment economics and service reliability for shippers, carriers and third‑party logistics partners in India.Location: India (Hybrid) | Region: South India | Role: Full-timeRole & Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across South India by identifying high-potential accounts, qualifying opportunities and closing enterprise and SME deals to meet regional revenue targets.
- Manage and grow strategic accounts: design customised commercial proposals, negotiate SLAs and contracts, and maintain long-term relationships to maximise lifetime value.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools; deliver accurate forecast reports and translate pipeline health into predictable revenue.
- Collaborate with operations, pricing and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding, timely execution and consistent service delivery.
- Develop market-specific go‑to‑market strategies for key verticals (manufacturing, e‑commerce, retail) and execute territory plans that maximise coverage and margin.
- Represent the company at industry events, negotiate framework agreements with carriers and partners, and act as the regional commercial lead for cross-functional initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven B2B sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain with a track record of meeting revenue quotas in South India.
- Demonstrable experience in key account management and closing complex commercial deals.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce or HubSpot) and strong Microsoft Excel skills for pipeline analysis.
- Deep understanding of domestic and international freight operations, documentation and basic customs/export processes.
- Territory management experience and willingness to travel across the South India region regularly.
Preferred
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or shipment-tracking platforms.
- Existing relationships with shippers, carriers or 3PL partners in South India.
- MBA or relevant sales / logistics certifications.
