Role Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing business development, overseeing the growth and client conversion for the entire pipeline of leads in your city or region. Leveraging your past experience in the wealth management, fintech or wealth-tech ecosystem, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and converting HNI and UHNI clients while expanding our presence in your city or region through strategic lead management and high impact client engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

I. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Leverage your expertise and connections in targeting HNI/UHNI clients to independently generate high-quality leads and build a strong, sustainable client pipeline.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings with HNI/UHNI and Family Office client prospects across the city or region, ensuring high-touch engagement throughout the sales and onboarding process.
  • Conduct targeted outreach to affluent clients, wealth managers, and financial advisors to showcase the benefits of our wealth-tech solutions.
  • Attend industry events, seminars, and networking events to generate leads and promote the company’s offerings.


II. Sales Strategy & Market Insights

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive client acquisition among the HNI/UHNI demographic in the city or region.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to provide valuable insights and help refine product offerings.
  • Conduct market research to understand the specific needs of high-net-worth clients and tailor strategies accordingly.


III. Relationship Building & Client Retention

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring an excellent onboarding experience and continued satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted relationship manager, drawing on your wealth management background to address client needs.
  • Provide tailored product demonstrations when required, and address any questions with a consultative approach.


IV. Partnership Opportunities

  • Identify, initiate and establish strategic partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Maintain and strengthen long term partner relationships, collaborating with internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.


V. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the broader sales and product teams to align client feedback with product improvements and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, leads, and conversions, reporting on activities, pipeline growth, and performance metrics.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:

    3+ years of Wealth Management / Wealth-tech experience in a high-impact business development role, with a strong focus on HNI / UHNI clients.
  • Financial Acumen:

    A deep understanding of finance, investment asset classes, wealth management and wealth-tech SaaS.
  • Relevant Certifications:

    Financial certifications, such as CFA, are a valuable plus and will be advantageous in this role.
  • Proven Skillset:

    Established familiarity and relationships with high-net-worth clients and an ability to leverage such experience for effective lead generation.
  • Sales and Business Development Skills:

    Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through strategic prospecting and relationship management.
  • Communication Skills:

    Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Self-motivated & Independent:

    Comfortable working autonomously with a proactive approach to building a client pipeline.
  • Tech-Savvy:

    Familiarity with CRM tools and comfort with financial software solutions.
