Introduction to role:
Are you ready to turn data and logistics insight into faster, safer delivery of medicines to patients worldwide? This role leads the intelligence behind how our products move across a complex global network, redefining signals into actions that lift service, resilience, cost efficiency, and sustainability. You will set the vision for decision intelligence in logistics and guide its execution, connecting strategy to analytics, systems, and day-to-day operations.
You will join a team that thrives on standardised, Lean ways of working to simplify what matters and unlock creativity. With frequent launches and evolving markets, you will design and scale digital tools, advanced analytics, and governance that help us stay ahead. Do you thrive in a matrix environment, leading teams with varied strengths to turn complex data into decisive action at pace?
Strategy Development: Define and deliver a Logistics Decision Intelligence strategy aligned to enterprise goals and the supply chain transformation roadmap, moving from early wins to sustained value creation across the network.
Logistics Intelligence Governance: Lead logistics technical governance, set global standards, and represent logistics in enterprise forums to ensure data, analytics, and digital solutions are consistent, secure, and scalable.
Collaboration: Co-create solutions with internal and external partners, from needs discovery through adoption, ensuring analytics-led initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.
Team Leadership: Assemble and lead diverse global teams of analysts, data scientists, and domain experts; build a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and disciplined delivery across a matrix organisation.
Data Integrity: Establish logistics data domains and integrity requirements that enable reliable visibility, analytics, and decision support across systems and partners.
Advanced Analytics: Direct the development and deployment of models, simulations, and AI/ML for network optimisation, risk assessment, and performance monitoring; translate findings into operational decisions.
Digital Transformation: Champion control towers, dashboards, and predictive tools to embed data-driven decision making across global logistics operations.
KPIs and Reporting: Define strategic critical metrics and business intelligence dashboards to track service, cost, sustainability, and resilience, creating a single source of truth for the organisation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and scale opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, agility, and customer experience, demonstrating Lean methods to standardise and sustain gains.
Risk Management: Build scenario analyses and decision-support tools to anticipate disruptions, mitigate risk, and accelerate response.
Logistics Applications: Oversee the technical development and value realisation of logistics applications such as TMS, P44, Validate, and CCIS, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and integrated.
Ethical Conduct and Compliance: Lead by example on things we value, Code of Conduct, and policies; ensure timely training, transparent reporting, and a speak-up culture.
Manager Accountabilities: Drive performance management, talent development, recruitment, fiscal stewardship, and SHE responsibilities to build a high-performing, trusted team.
Quality and GxP Stewardship: For GxP areas, ensure understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and provision of appropriate resources to maintain and improve the Quality system.
When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we fuel bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace, and challenge perceptions. That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn't mean we're not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual
flexibility. Join us in our unique and daring world.
Here, your work fuels the last mile of science, ensuring breakthrough therapies reach people who need them without delay. You will partner with diverse experts who value curiosity and perseverance alongside ambition, building decision intelligence on modern digital platforms and applying Lean, standardised practices to move faster on what matters. With a pipeline of new products and a global network to match, you will shape how modern tools, data, and resilient ways of working come together to elevate performance and patient impact.
Step forward to lead the intelligence behind how medicines move worldwide and shape what comes next!
