Job Description

To lead the design, implementation, and institutionalization of V-Mart’s Business Process Transformation program, driving enterprise-wide modernization across core and support functions. The role is responsible for anchoring process transformation, organization redesign, and AI-enabled productivity enhancement, ensuring that people, processes, and technology operate in full alignment with strategic objectives and governance standards.

The incumbent will enable the shift from manual, intuition-driven operations to data-led, AI-augmented, and agent-orchestrated workflows, fostering faster, smarter, and more scalable ways of working. The purpose is to establish an AI-ready organization where roles, KPIs, and processes are redefined for efficiency, accountability, and digital integration.

This includes streamlining workflows, eliminating redundancies, and building a lean, agile, and responsive operating model that can support threefold business growth. The position will also drive end-to-end orchestration across merchandising, planning, and store execution, leveraging automation, analytics, and real-time data to deliver touchless, insight-to-action execution and sustained business excellence.


Roles & Responsibilities


A. Anchor BPM Program Design & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end transformation planning including diagnostics, As-Is/To-Be process mapping, SOP rollout, and implementation roadmap across the business processes.
  • Institutionalize standardized processes, KPI alignment, and RASCI structures to ensure governance and ownership at all levels.
  • Benchmark redesigned processes with retail best practices and integrate with audit standards.

B. Drive Data-to-Decision Framework

  • Establish KPI governance and streamline reporting to support performance-linked decision-making.
  • Assign report ownership and embed insight-to-action loops into operational cadence.
  • Rationalize redundant reporting and develop role-specific dashboards (in Power BI/Tableau/Google Suite based Solutions/AI Tools).

C. Institutionalize Process Ownership & Controls

  • Ensure SOPs are live, version-controlled, and embedded into operational reviews, audit testing, and training programs.
  • Implement periodic SOP reviews and ensure closure of exceptions raised in internal audits and reviews.
  • Align cross-functional workflows to remove handoff gaps and duplicate efforts.

D. Technology Alignment & System Integration

  • Partner with business functions, IT and Digital Transformation teams to integrate core applications (ERP, POS, SCM, HRMS, WMS) and reduce manual interventions.
  • Support automation of approval workflows, exception reporting, and dashboard visualization.
  • Enable analytics-based process tracking and exception alerts for decision support.

E. Lead Consultant Coordination & Governance

  • Develop team to lead the BPM initiative
  • Act as SPOC for program reviews with MD, CFO, CXOs, and Steering Committees.
  • Ensure adoption tracking, change impact analysis, and post-implementation sustainability measures.

F. Build Internal Capabilities & Change Mindset

  • Drive cross-functional training on SOPs, controls, and insight usage.
  • Identify and nurture transformation champions within business teams.
  • Embed transformation KPIs into team KRAs to promote accountability and continuity.


Education:

  • Must Have: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Strategy / Operations / Finance) from a Tier 1/2 institute
  • Good to Have: Certifications in BPM, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+), Data Analytics / Process Mining.


Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience with a strong foundation in internal audit, risk & controls, and enterprise-wide business process transformation.
  • 7-10 years in a Big 4 and leadership role with proven success in business process reviews, process reengineering, SOP deployment, identifying automation opportunities, governance frameworks, operational excellence, preferably in retail, FMCG, or consumer businesses.

Mobility

Travel (4–6 days/month) to stores, regional offices, warehouses, and New Store project sites for process reviews, training, and implementation checks.
