Job Description

Role Summary:


The Account Associate will manage core finance and accounting activities for our business operations, ensuring accurate cost tracking, statutory compliance, and insightful financial analysis to support corporate decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and product-wise profitability for the business in line with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS).
  • Handle day-to-day accounting: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, vendor and customer accounting, and expense booking, highlight risks proactively and support initiatives to improve cash flow.
  • Support cost accounting, including but not limited to:
  • Raw material costing, processing costs, utilities, labour, and overhead allocation.
  • Batch / SKU-wise costing, variance analysis (standard vs actual), yield and loss analysis, and monitoring of reprocessing / rejects.
  • Support inventory accounting for raw materials, packing materials, WIP and finished goods; monitor stock reconciliations with stores/production and conduct periodic physical verifications.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets and monthly forecasts for operations, sales, CAPEX and overheads; analyse variances and highlight key drivers to management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliances: GST, TDS, income tax, PF/ESI where applicable, and any regulatory/industry-specific financial filings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors; prepare audit schedules, resolve queries, and implement control improvements, especially around material movement, wastages and production reporting.
  • Assist in funding, banking and working capital management, including LC/BG documentation, stock statements, and coordination with lenders.
  • Develop, document and maintain robust finance SOPs and internal controls over procurement, approvals, credit management, and operational expenditures to enhance speed, accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, HR, legal) on finance-related matters, including contracts, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions and statutory requirements.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or processing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, cost accounting concepts, and direct/indirect taxation.
  • Prior hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Business Central or similar) and advanced Excel.
  • Exposure to inventory-heavy environments or process industries is desirable.
