Environment & Social Officer

The primary role of the Environment & Social Officer at ACE International Limited involves collaborating with the team and management to oversee Environmental & Social (E&S) operations within the context of the dairy and nutrition manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate for this position should be resourceful, capable of working independently, and have experience in establishing E&S management systems, particularly in the agri-food or dairy sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all E&S considerations throughout the business process in the dairy and nutrition manufacturing context. - Integrate E&S into the overall business process, developing systems, processes, and tools to incorporate E&S at each stage of the manufacturing lifecycle. - Ensure thorough E&S risk assessment and management. - Develop, implement, and oversee the Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS) aligned with dairy manufacturing operations, updating and enhancing the document over time. - Conduct training needs assessments and provide training on ESMS, E&S management, and E&S awareness for relevant team members. - Provide oversight and guidance on E&S matters relevant to dairy and food processing. - Prepare E&S monitoring and reporting commitments to investors and stakeholders. - Manage the timely implementation of Environmental and Social Action Plans prepared by investors/shareholders. - Collaborate with R&D teams to incorporate sustainability into product design, such as eco-packaging and clean-label ingredients. Qualifications: - Minimum of five to seven years of experience in fields related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) due diligence/management, agriculture/dairy, compliance, investor relations, and investment-related legal matters. - Familiarity with IFC Performance Standards, OIE guidelines on animal welfare, and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). - Strong English writing skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail. - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. - Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members. - Sound understanding of sustainability issues across various industry sectors, with a focus on consumer business. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to influence and collaborate effectively, and be willing to travel as needed.,
