Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the overall financial strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and participate in decision-making at the leadership level.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support key business initiatives, fundraising, and expansion plans. Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Monitor performance against financial goals; identify risks and corrective actions.
• Prepare and present MIS reports, board packs, and investor updates.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure timely closing of books and preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Implement internal controls, processes, and automation tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Ensure timely filing and compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations (GST, TDS, income tax, ROC filings, etc.).
• Liaise with statutory and internal auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
• Ensure due diligence readiness and governance for fundraising or M&A activities.
• Manage working capital, optimize cash flows, and oversee treasury operations.
• Support capital raise processes (equity or debt), including due diligence, data room preparation, and investor interactions.
• Manage investor relations, reporting, and communications.
• Build and lead a lean, high-performing finance and accounts team.
• Establish a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance.
• 8- 10 years of experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role in a startup, scale-up, or mid-sized enterprise.
• Deep expertise in Indian accounting standards, compliance, and taxation.
• Strong understanding of business finance, investor expectations, and fundraising processes.
• Hands-on approach; willingness to get into the weeds while thinking strategically.
• Experience in SaaS/D2C/Tech/Manufacturing startups is a plus.
