Job Overview:

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing KIWI’s supplier ecosystem including, packaging vendors, raw material suppliers, logistics partners, café vendors, and private-label manufacturers. This role ensures quality, cost efficiency, on-time supply, and process compliance

Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Finance, Product Development, and Branding

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management

F&V, RM, Packaging, Finished Goods, Café & Store Ops supplies

·      Ensure daily F&V freshness, grading, hygiene & availability.

·      Source, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard farmers, mandis, manufacturers, packaging & logistics vendors.

2. Vendor Management

·      Conduct supplier audits, manage documentation (FSSAI/GST), and finalize contracts.

·      Negotiate MOQs, pricing, lead times & payment terms.

·      Maintain multi-vendor options for supply stability.

3. Planning & Execution

·      Plan procurement using forecasts, seasonality & consumption trends.

·      Raise POs, track dispatches, ensure timely inwarding & GRN.

·      Prevent stockouts and avoid overstocking.

4. Cost, Quality & Compliance

·      Maintain cost sheets and optimize cost through sourcing & freight efficiency.

·      Ensure QA checks, certifications, and corrective actions for deviations.

5. Logistics & Reporting

·      Monitor deliveries, optimize transport & reduce transit losses.

·      Manage ERPNext workflows (POs, GRNs, invoices) and maintain weekly/monthly reports.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

·      Work with Retail, Warehouse, Operations, Finance & Product Development.

·      Support NPD and align F&V supply with store demand.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

Skills

●     Strong negotiation & costing skills

●     Understanding of FMCG procurement, packaging, and operations

●     Familiarity with ERP systems (ERPNext preferred)

●     Strong knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and SKU-level planning

●     Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis

●     Excellent communication & relationship-building abilities

●     Problem-solving and vendor conflict resolution

●     Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

●     Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related field

●     4-10 years of experience in vendor or procurement management (Agri-Produce/FMCG/retail preferred)

●     Experience working with farmers, contract manufacturers, or packaging vendors is a plus
