About the Role

As a Training & Placement Officer at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, you will serve as a critical enabler in shaping the professional future of students across all campuses. You will work closely with senior leadership, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders to drive recruitment initiatives, strengthen industry collaborations, and enhance JIIT’s brand in the employer ecosystem.

Your role carries strategic importance ensuring that students are aligned to evolving industry expectations and that JIIT maintains a strong presence among leading recruiters.


Work You’ll Do-

As part of the Training & Placement Cell, you will play a key role in expanding industry engagement, enabling high-quality placements, and ensuring seamless execution of all campus hiring activities. Your ability to maintain strong professional relationships, anticipate market trends, and coordinate complex multi-stakeholder processes will be crucial in driving placement success across the institute.


Role & Responsibilities:

Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement

  • Act as the primary corporate interface for the institute, cultivating long-term relationships with organizations across IT, Core Engineering, Analytics, Consulting, Management, and emerging sectors.
  • Identify new hiring partners and proactively onboard companies for internships, placements, and campus engagement activities.
  • Engage with senior HR leaders, CXOs, and Talent Acquisition teams to promote JIIT’s talent pool across campuses.
  • Strengthen JIIT’s industry presence through employer branding initiatives, campus visits, HR conclaves, webinars, and networking events.


Recruitment Strategy & Process Management

  • Drive the end-to-end placement process: pre-placement discussions, assessments, technical evaluations, and HR interactions.
  • Create and manage the annual placement calendar in alignment with academic timelines and recruiter needs.
  • Analyze hiring trends and define strategic focus areas (domains, skills, job roles, compensation benchmarks).
  • Implement structured communication systems with students and faculty to ensure readiness and compliance with recruitment guidelines.
  • Coordinate multi-round interview workflows, ensuring smooth movement of candidates between technical, managerial, and HR evaluations.


Internship Facilitation & PPO Conversions

  • Facilitate high-quality internship opportunities for students across B. Tech, MCA, MBA, and other programs.
  • Coordinate internship agreements, timelines, documentation, and reporting.
  • Liaise with companies to strengthen internship-to-PPO pathways and ensure smooth conversion cycles.
  • Track internship completion, feedback, and organizational expectations for future hiring.


Data Management, Analysis & Reporting

  • Manage placement data, student pipelines, recruiter participation, and historical hiring trends using MIS tools.
  • Prepare periodic reports, analytics dashboards, and presentations for institute leadership, accreditation bodies, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely documentation of offers, joining dates, CTC structures, job descriptions, and internship outcomes.
  • Leverage data insights to recommend improvements in placement strategy, employer targeting, and resource allocation.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with department heads, faculty members, and administrative teams to streamline placement activities.
  • Align placement efforts with academic curricula, skill requirements, and emerging industry domains.
  • Work closely with training vendors, professional bodies, and external agencies to enhance student exposure (without direct student training responsibilities).
  • Facilitate corporate-institute collaborations such as MoUs, industry advisory boards, and curriculum enhancement initiatives.


Compliance, Governance & Representation

  • Maintain high standards of ethics, transparency, and professionalism in all recruitment engagements.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies, data confidentiality norms, and recruiter guidelines.
  • Represent JIIT professionally in inter-institutional forums, hiring discussions, and corporate networking platforms.
  • Manage risk, quality assurance, and operational contingencies during peak hiring season.

  • Familiarity with placement portals, MIS systems, Excel, and tech-enabled workflow tools.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure placement cycles and ensure seamless event execution.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Training & Placement, Corporate HR, Talent Acquisition, or industry-facing roles.
  • Strong industry network and exposure to campus recruitment environments.
