Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
ServiceNow Developer
with a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise workflows within the
Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences sector
. The ideal candidate should have 6–10 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, preferably in
GxP-regulated
environments. You will work closely with IT, Quality, Compliance, and Business teams to ensure that ServiceNow solutions meet the rigorous demands of pharma operations..
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop customized applications on the ServiceNow platform including workflows, UI actions, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and data imports.
- Implement and manage ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB.
- Work on ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, or CSM depending on business requirements.
- Develop and configure ServiceNow Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Servers) with external systems.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, change management, and release processes.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews for quality assurance.
- Ensure the platform follows best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, REST/SOAP Web Services, HTML/CSS.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Service Portal, Scoped Applications, and Custom Tables.
- Good understanding of CMDB design, Discovery, and Event Management (if applicable).
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining custom integrations.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrade cycles, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ATF (Automated Test Framework), Performance Analytics, and Virtual Agent is a plus.
- ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or module-specific certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM) are highly preferred.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead small technical teams or guide junior developers.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Exposure to ServiceNow Architectural design or Technical Lead roles.
- Experience in working with global delivery models.
- Experience with DevOps pipelines for ServiceNow (CI/CD).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules.
